Regarding CBSE Syllabus 2021-2022: Term 1 & Term 2
✔ CBSE Schools will continue to use the syllabus that was released on March 31, 2021. (CBSE Syllabus 2021-22 that CBSE Schools are following)
✔ Subject-by-subject and term-by-term The CBSE Syllabus 2021-22 for Term 1 and Term 2 has been published by the board.
✔ Term 1 exams will be based on approximately 50% of the syllabus.
✔ Term 2 exams will be based on the remaining 50% of the Syllabus.
CBSE 2021-2022 Exam Schedule: Term 1 & Term 2
✔ CBSE Term 1 Exam Schedule 2021-2022: November-December 2021 (Flexible schedule that might different for different schools, exams will be conducted in schools & external examiner will be appointed as invigilator)
✔ CBSE Term 1 Exam Schedule 2021-2022: March-April 2022 (Exams will be held at CBSE-designated examination centres.)
✔ Changes will be made if the situation improves or deteriorates as a result of COVID-19.
CBSE Exam Pattern of Term 1 & Term 2:
✔ CBSE has stated that it will provide sample papers, a question bank, and other resources on a regular basis.
✔ CBSE will release sample papers prior to the exam.
✔ For 9th and 10th grades:
✔ # Internal Assessment: Throughout the year, regardless of Term 1 and 2, the three periodic tests, student enrichment, portfolio, and practical work/speaking listening activities/project would be included.
✔ For students in the eleventh and twelfth grades:
✔ # Internal Assessment: End-of-topic or unit tests/exploratory activities/practicals/projects will be given throughout the year, regardless of Term 1 and 2.
CBSE Term 1 & Term 2 Exams: Key Points
Term 1 CBSE Exam:
✔ MCQ-Based Question Paper (CBSE-Set): The Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), including case-based MCQs and MCQs of the assertion-reasoning type.
✔ Paper duration: 90 minutes
✔ Answers will be recorded on an OMR sheet (might be taken online if situation gets worse)
Term 2 CBSE Exam:
✔ Subjective Paper: The paper will be 2 hours long and will include questions in a variety of formats (case-based/situation-based, open-ended – short answer/long answer type).
✔ Paper duration: 2 hours
✔ If the situation does not allow for a normal descriptive exam, a 90-minute MCQ-based exam will be held at the end of Term 2.
