The Staff Selection Commission of India will hold the SSC CGL 2022 Exam in four stages: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4. While the Tier I and Tier II exams will be conducted online, the Tier III exam will be conducted on paper, and the Tier IV exam will be a computer skill test. Candidates should be aware that if the exam is held in multiple shifts, the score for SSC CGL Tier-I & Tier-II will be normalised. SSC will decide on the normalisation score, which will be considered final for selecting candidates for the subsequent rounds (Tier-III & Tier-IV) of the SSC CGL 2022 Exam.
SSC CGL Tier-1 2022 Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL 2022 Tier-1 exam will be held online and will consist of four sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 200. The entire exam must be completed in a time limit of 60 minutes.

Wrong Answer Penalty: There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. There is no sectional break. No points will be deducted if a candidate leaves a question blank or does not attempt it.
SSC CGL Tier-2 2022 Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier-2 exam will be held online and will consist of four papers, each with 100 questions in Quantitative Ability, Statistics, General Studies (Finance and Economics), and 200 questions in English Language and Comprehension Papers, with a maximum of 200 marks for reach papers.

Wrong Answer Penalty: There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and 0.50 for each incorrect answer in Paper-I, Paper-III, and Paper-IV.
SSC CGL Tier-3 Exam Pattern
Tier 3 of the SSC CGL examination will be a descriptive test. The paper will be in English/Hindi and will be worth 100 points. The entire paper must be finished in 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam is a computer-based test. It will be divided into two parts: the DEST test and the CPT test.
DEST: Candidates must type 2000 words in English on a computer in 15 minutes. This test is used to assess a candidate’s writing abilities.
CPT: This test is used to assess a candidate’s knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Slide Generation.
